About Dr Pontsho Kgote

Dr Pontsho Kgote grew up in Segakwaneng in Moruleng, Rustenburg. She obtained a Bachelor of Medicine (MBChB) degree from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and pursued postgraduate studies, Master of Medicine (MMED) in General Surgery Residency at Sefako Makgatho Healthcare Sciences University, South Africa, from 2018 to 2022. In addition to this, Dr Kgote went on to completed a Fellowship College of Surgeons (FCS) program at the College of Medicine of South Africa in 2022. She has also has also spent 2 years in pediatrics at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa.

Currently Dr Kgote manages acute care surgery, elective surgical conditions as well as trauma surgery.
As a surgeon, she focuses on minimally invasive/ laparoscopic surgery and endoscopic diagnosis and treatments.
Dr Kgote is a certified Advanced Trauma Life support instructor with special interest in hepatobiliary and transplant surgery. She is a member of ASSA
